My name is Jackson Nix. I’m a third generation Ironworker for Shelby Erectors. The heavy construction industry runs deep in my blood & I am extremely passionate at what I do. At 25 years old, I’m conflicted.

I have a great career, I love what I do, & I have truly found my calling. Or so I thought...

The biggest concern with this industry currently, is the fact that we are all living in a workforce that will simply not be around if we do not bridge the skills gap coming.

I take an immense responsibility in doing everything I possibly can to prevent this from happening. There is still an opportunity to get the youth back interested in construction.
